  • Overview

    The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering IT projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) & Project Manager Director. 

    Responsibilities

    • Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements  
    • Oversee the project intake process and provide status updates to project requestor   
    • Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, budgets, preliminary schedule, and other project documentation 
    • Conduct quality assurance testing on new and enhanced products 
    • Facilitate meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members  
    • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures  
    • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team  
    • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner  
    • Follow up on project tasks  
    • Assist the PM in the vendor evaluation process by evaluating the product/service functionality, quotes, company references, etc.  
    • Track & manage contemplated change requests in the change log  
    • Prepare scheduled management reports  
    • Create and maintain departmental process, policies and procedures documentation  
    • Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations  

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree MIS, Business, or Project Management 
    • 2-4 years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects  
    • Proficient in MS Project, and MS Office Suite of products  
    • Knowledge of Higher Education or Government industry  
    • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills  
    • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment  
    • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities  
    • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
    • CAPM certification is preferred 
    • Customer Service experience is preferred
    • Must currently be local to the area
